What a gem in Chinatown Seattle. We needed a break from eating American food on our cruise to Alaska. This was the perfect spot to grab breakfast. Everything we tried tasted good. And can we appreciate the fact that you don't have to order 3-4 pieces. You order per piece! Prices are also very reasonable. $1.20-1.30 per piece. Soy Sauce is 25 cents. If you're ordering a lot, there's a printed menu where you pencil in what you want to order and you hand it to them at the counter. Wife spoke Chinese to order and they are the classic don't give a crap about customer service so that's when you know their food is too good for your money.

It's about 8 am, and I am in the Seattle Chinatown International District. I am also hungry. Where the typical American breakfast fare, fast food, or otherwise, was not what I was seeking this morning, I was fortunate to come across Dim Sum King. Established more than a decade, this restaurant is part of the historic NP Hotel and an integral part of the Seattle's food scene. The restaurant lives up to its name as it serves the Chinese dim sum classics and favorites. Pork shu mei? It's there. Steam har gow? It's there. Chicken feet? You got it! There are other favorites as well, like their steamed rice cake and egg tarts. Even sticky rice and congee is at the ready. Don't forget to bring cash, as they will charge a little extra for using your credit card. Just one thing. Make sure you look at the menu and know what you want to order, so is not to slowdown the counter service, or annoy to people behind you. It can get crowded in this little place very quickly. Seating is also limited, so plan on arriving, but not sitting. It is very casual amd pedestrian friendly. See you in line at Dim Sum King.

Came by this place before we take our flight back to LA. Best decision ever! It's a block from the Chinatown park around the corner and we couldn't help ourselves but eat some already at the park before we finish it at the airport. This literally brings us back to the same comfort food back in LA. Best part is they sold sticky rice buns (wrapped in very thin wonton skin) where many dim sum places no longer make. Rare find & one of my favorites! All the items were legit and delicious. Many people sitting around us at airport can't stop watching us eat our deliciousness! Almost felt bad eating it. We finished everything before we got onboard. My son loved the beef rice noodle rolls here because they put much less chives and cilantro in them. People usually put more to get rid of the beefy scent and add extra flavors but their ingredients are quite fresh. Definitely a go to place whenever you crave dim sum in the area.
